Venture deep into the jungle on an animal-naming safari hunt in Jungle Book A BabyLit Animal Primer. Spy a sneaky snake, a lazy bear, and a proud panther before roaring like a tiger into the night. Jennifer Adam’s carefully curated quotations provide the best of Rudyard Kipling’s descriptions of Kaa, Baloo, Bagheera, Shere Khan and more while teaching little ones the characteristics of these colorful jungle animals.

My baby likes this book ok as do we. The pictures are adorable but it doesn't seem to keep her attention. The quotes from Jungle Book are cute but I don't feel that they add much for the baby, mostly just for adults. We all far prefer the Sherlock Holmes babylit book. I just feel like there are better animal books out there. If you are a Jungle Book lover than you will probably love it anyway. Otherwise, I'd opt for other babylit books.Update: 5/2016
We now love this book as my baby is no longer a baby but a toddler. She developed a love for the jungle book movie (the animated one) and we still read this book often and she is 2.5 now. So... For a small baby I would give this 3 stars but for a toddler who likes Jungle Book I would definitely give it 5. I feel like she is outgrowing the Sherlock Holmes book now but still loves this one.

Jungle Book A BabyLit® Animals Primer Free Audio Book Inside edition by Jennifer Adams Alison Oliver Children eBooks Reviews
I started purchasing these books when they were first published. Originally I purchased them just for friends who were having girls, but the series has branched out and now the books are great for both sexes. As I've looked at and read through them with many children, they all seem to be really drawn to the photos and have fun with the learning of numbers or sounds or elements of weather, etc.
Our daughter absolutely loves the BabyLit books. They feature beautiful art and are made with high quality construction. We have 5 of the BabyLit books and this one is actually our least favorite. The art doesn't vary as much in the others or have as many details. I'd skip this one and choose another.
We love this series for our little one! The colors are vivid and have lots of contrast for her little eyes. The books are words with pictures, not stories, per se. They take the major characters and players from each story that they focus on. Such a great way to introduce little ones to the themes of major literary writings. They are super fun for adults, too!
my 18 month old really likes the illustrations, and the animals are vocabulary are both familiar and unusual enough to keep him interested! Love that its a nod towards the characters of the jungle book. super cute for any toddlers collection of books.
This is my favorite of all the BabyLit primers so far. The illustrations are adorable and I like the phrases taken from the original to describe the different animals. This probably wouldn't be suitable for older toddlers but mine is a little over a year and she loves these books. Once they start to talk and build up their vocabulary, I can see where these books could be boring. I look forward to reading the actual book with my daughter some day.
So bright and fun as an intro to different animals! Now they know the normal "moo" and "meow" animal sounds, but also the "hooooowl" of the wolf and the "hissss" of the python. The little quotes from the original story are fun, but don't expect this to be a retelling of the whole story. I bought it with that in mind and I am very happy with it.
Baby lit books are our all time favorite books! They are small books, but that does not underestimate the goodness inside. We have ordered just about all of the baby lit books and love to swap them out during seasons and holidays. I also love that they have different primers and different types of learning for your little one. These books are great gift ideas, there are a lot of genres to choose from. The artwork and colors are bright and vivid, very pleasant to look at. The mommy and the teacher in me loves and approves these books!
